Simetria Assimétrica invites you to think differently about the idea of perfection.
The sculptures, made of wood, have almost symmetrical shapes, but always with something out of place — on purpose.
Symmetry is suggested, but never complete. Ricardo´s work show that beauty can also be found in what is irregular,
crooked, different.
The wood, with its knots and flaws, reinforces this: it is not perfect, and that is what makes it special.
The exhibition wants to make you think: why do we value so much what is perfect?
And what does the imperfect have to offer?
More than providing answers, the goal is to make you feel and reflect.
Life is an asymmetric symmetry.
